Project Background
Wanhang Die Forging is a leading enterprise in the global aerospace forging industry, responsible for producing critical structural components for major aircraft and heavy machinery. In April 2019, to meet the rigorous surface cleaning standards required for large-scale aerospace forgings, Wanhang partnered with Huaqing to implement a customized cleaning solution.

Technical Specifications Table

The centerpiece of this project is the QH37100, a high-performance, large-scale cast and forged shot blasting machine designed to handle high-tonnage components with complex geometries.
The Challenge
Before the implementation of the QH37100, the cleaning process for oversized aerospace forgings faced several hurdles:
Massive Dimensions: Components often exceeded standard cleaning booth capacities.
Strict Surface Standards: Aerospace parts require absolute uniformity in surface roughness to detect potential defects.
Efficiency Demands: Manual or outdated cleaning methods were too slow for the high-volume production of “national-level” projects.
Our Solution: The QH37100 System
Huaqing engineered a bespoke version of the QH37100 to address these specific needs. This machine isn’t just about size; it’s about controlled power.
High-Power Turbines: Equipped with 10 high-efficiency blast wheels to ensure 360-degree coverage.
Heavy-Duty Logistics: Integrated a reinforced conveyor system capable of supporting over 50 tons of forgings.
Advanced Dust Collection: A multi-stage filtration system that maintains a clean working environment and prolongs machine life.
Intelligent PLC Control: Allows operators to adjust blast intensity based on the specific alloy and thickness of the forging.
Performance & Impact
Since its installation, the QH37100 has become a critical asset in Wanhang’s production line:
Cleaning Efficiency: Reduced cleaning cycles by over 40% compared to previous methods.
Surface Quality: Achieved a consistent Sa 2.5 finish, meeting international aerospace standards.
Cost Reduction: Minimized abrasive consumption and reduced manual labor costs by 25%.
Conclusion
The successful operation of the QH37100 at Wanhang Die Forging demonstrates Huaqing’s capability to deliver high-end, heavy-duty machinery for the most demanding industries. We are proud to support the “National Team” of forging with our advanced shot blasting technology.
